Bold Bean Coffee Roasters & Yoga 4 Change Collaborate
to Create Change ‘Salute the Sun’ coffee available now

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Local nonprofit, Yoga 4 Change (Y4C), and well known coffee roaster, Bold Bean, have partnered to offer a co-branded organic coffee, Salute the Sun. Bold Bean is generously donating $1 from every sale back to Y4C’s research based, trauma informed yoga programming. Yoga 4 Change offers programs to Veterans, Youth, those who are Incarcerated and those dealing with substance abuse. The two organizations worked closely together to choose the blend of beans and merge their visions to create this special coffee with the intention to promote conversation and connection in the community.
Executive Director and Founder of Y4C, Kathryn Thomas, has dreamed of a Bold Bean partnership since the conception of Yoga 4 Change in 2014. “I used to work out of the Bold Bean Beaches location, a lot. I loved how the community gathered in the space and always left feeling empowered. I remember saying to myself, we would be lucky as an organization to be connected with Bold Bean and that what Y4C is doing is similar through yoga. Less than four years later- that thought is a reality.” The coffee collaboration is a pure example of bringing together two missions to “Foster Community and Be Good People” and “ Heal and empower creating healthier and safer communities”. The baseline for both organizations is community.
“We are excited to partner with Yoga 4 Change because we feel that their mission to create healthier and safer communities through healing and empowering underserved populations complements our own mission of creating good through coffee and kindness. A big part of our mission at Bold Bean is to leave people better off after their experience with us than they were before.” says Owner, Zack Burnett. “We believe in creating strong communities through kind and intentional service of high-quality products that are sustainably sourced and produced. Kindness, intentionality and caring actions will create a better world for us all. It’s for these reasons that we are most enthusiastic about our partnership with Yoga 4 Change.” Choosing the perfect blend of coffee happened over a few meeting and a lot of conversation. The two organizations learned quickly that their missions were in alignment.
On January 26th at 10am, the two will host Yoga at the Bold Bean Roastery. You can buy tickets here: https://www.boldbeancoffee.com/classes/.. The experience will include a one hour all levels yoga class, education on coffee, one 5oz bag of Salute the Sun coffee beans and one free drink from the coffee bar. Space is limited!
