Yoga 4 Change Partners with 3 Local Doughnut (donut) Shops across Florida

‘June is for doughnuts/donuts!’ is the theme for the local partnerships happening across the state of Florida.  Yoga 4 Change (Y4C), a nonprofit organization founded in Jacksonville in 2014, is collaborating with three local businesses across the state.  The collaboration will take place throughout the entire month of June with the following shops and locations: Good Dough in Jacksonville starting June 10th, Mojo Donuts in Hollywood (Pembroke Pines location only) starting June 1st and  Simply Done Donuts in Tampa starting June 1st.  Each of the local businesses have committed to donating to Yoga 4 Change through sales from a specific doughnut on their menu or a specific package. Yoga 4 Change hopes to increase business at each place through the local community, promotion and word of mouth within the yoga sector.

Yoga 4 Change expanded in 2019 to three regions; South Florida, Tampa Bay and Central Florida.  Since expansion, Y4C has made goals to be embedded as a local brand in the community and within the people they serve.  Yoga 4 Change serves veterans, youth, individuals who are incarcerated and those who are in recovery from substance use.  By partnering with local businesses, Yoga 4 Change is able to educate local communities on what the organization is hoping to achieve with programming, connect smaller communities to the community at large and drive business to local, passionate entrepreneurs.  “As a nonprofit, we can relate to small businesses everywhere because we operate as a business” said Executive Director, Kathryn Thomas, “We have worked diligently over the years to remain sustainable and relevant and we make it a point to consistently partner with small businesses in the local communities we serve.”

The vision of a larger community has been a part of the Y4C mission since inception.  Yoga 4 Change’s purpose-driven yoga program enables Y4C to heal and empower underserved populations, creating healthier, safer communities, one class at a time.  “Collaborations and consistent partnerships are a huge part of our vision,” said Director of Development, Breanna Tivvis, “We strive to maintain loyalty and trust within our community with the desire to uplift our team, the populations we serve, the facilities  and everyone we work alongside.”  The following donuts/packages will be a part of the collaboration:  For every 8-pack of donuts sold at Simply Done Donuts, they will donate $1 to Y4C.  Mojo Donuts will donate 10% of sales from every ‘Baklakropolis’ donut sold and Good Dough will be announcing their doughnut flavor on June 10th; donating 10% of sales from that doughnut back to Y4C programming.
