Kalie moved to Florida almost 20 years ago, to escape the cold of Northern Michigan. She found her love for beaches and nature grew, as well as her love for yoga. Her journey in education allowed her to incorporate these passions and use her master’s degree in teaching, to both support and teach in her local community.
After completing her 200RYT, Kalie taught locally and was instantly intrigued by the idea of a yoga organization, that taught people in incarceration. Having a family member that had recently been incarcerated, she knew this was something she needed to be a part of. Hearing about the expansion of Yoga 4 Change into the Tampa Bay area, Kalie was able to become a teacher for Y4C and be a part of this important work. After teaching with the Y4C team for over 6 years, she is now the Manager of Programs for the region in which she started.
When not on her mat, you will find Kalie exploring nature in some capacity, from camping to hiking or grounding herself in her garden or with a hike next to a canine companion.
