Data Driven Yoga – Meet the Research Team

Data collecting is a crucial part of what makes Yoga 4 Change so impactful to the communities it aims to serve. Having individuals such as Dr. Jennifer W. Bourgeois and Dr. Danielle Rousseau on the Research team is a huge component of what maintains the validity of the Yoga 4 Change data and curriculum.

Former Board Member Perspective: Warren Buck

“It didn’t take long for Yoga 4 Change to make a huge difference in the kids who participated. The simple act of thoughtfully controlling your breathing was a revolution to the culture of our school.”

Passion for Change

Melissa joined Yoga 4 Change five years ago now and she has found a sense of community with not only her fellow yoga teachers, but also the individuals that she works with. She gives these individuals an opportunity to achieve a sense of self that they may have lost. She has worked closely with the Jacksonville Center for Children’s Rights and has a lot of experience working with underserved communities, specifically youth.

An Interview with Yoga Therapist, Judy Smith

“I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I’ve shifted to a more eastern practice of offering healing with regard to people’s mental health. A lot of that came about when I started immersing myself in my yoga practice which goes back about 25 years now.”
