Yoga 4 Change is celebrating nine years of community impact with a virtual BINGO party March 1, 2023. The fundraising event will honor the nonprofit’s ninth consecutive year helping veterans, youths, incarcerated individuals and those living with mental health conditions. Hosted by Northeast Florida Program Director, Kim Simon, and Journalist and Broadcaster, Shelton Hull, the virtual celebration will kick off at 6:30 PM with a recap of 2022 and then start the first of eight rounds of BINGO.
Prizes include donations from Wick Fix Candles, Omni Amelia Island, Buddha Pants, Art by Mere, Bold Bean Coffee, elshe jewelry, Wawa, Marriott and more! A general admission ticket will cost $40 and one BINGO card with the option to pay $10 for an additional card at time of ticket purchase.
Founded in 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida, Yoga 4 Change has since expanded to three other regions including Tampa Bay, Central and South Florida. Data is collected before and after each class to measure the impact sessions have on a participants mental and physical well-being. The organization teaches positive and healthy coping skills using a yoga curriculum and has provided over 19,000 individuals in 2022 with mood, stress and pain relief.
